She started formal piano lessons at the age of three and went on to receive a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance with a minor in Organ Performance from Houghton College (Houghton, NY) where she studied with George Boespflug and Judy Congdon. Kristin was the 1998 winner of the Houghton College Concerto Competition. She has also been performing for most of her life as a vocalist and has been an active performer in many musical theater productions.
In addition to maintaining a full time teaching studio, Kristin is also currently the music director, organist and worship leader at Christ Episcopal Church in Ballston Spa, NY, and she performs frequently as a free-lance accompanist with many local soloists and music groups. She is happily married to her love, Rich, and has three awesome kids - Edison, Claudia and Oliver. In her free time you will often find her with knitting needles in her hands.
